Hinge & Post Repair
In the older neighborhoods around Historic Downtown Ontario, the 1940s to 1980s tract homes all share the same gate setup: a wrought iron swing gate anchored into a CMU block wall. Two things kill those hinge posts. One is Ontario’s hard water, which is high in minerals imported from the Colorado River. That mineral content gets into the block, corrodes the steel hinge anchors, and the concrete spalls. The other is Santa Ana wind.
