Almost always no. The operator is fine. The problem is the hinge anchor in the brick pier. A gate sags in the hinge post, not in the middle, and when the gate drops even half an inch, the keypad mounting angle changes and the safety sensors fault. We rebuild the hinge point, weld or reinforce the bracket, and remount the keypad so it stays aligned. Replacing the operator without fixing the pier is throwing money away.
